Masi Gianluca - Ricercatore
Thirty-two years old, he is graduate in Astrophysics and currently involved in a PhD in Astronomy at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". Expert in CCD astronomy, particularly in photometry and astrometry, his current scientific interests include minor bodies in the solar system (mainly near-Earth Objects), cataclysmic variables and the cosmological distance ladder. He contributes to many international astronomical magazines.He spent several months in Chile, at the European Southern Observatory (ESO), investigating near-Earth Asteroids and comets. Because of his activities, he was awarded with several prizes and the asteroid (21795) was named "Masi" after him.
